It's Finally Feeling Like Winter!!

This weekend is the Motown Winter Blast, going on around Campus Martius. I personally have never been able to go to it so I'm super excited! Wintery activities are the best! There will be music, food, ice sculptures and free ice skating. 
To get ready for the weekend, I went downtown to go ice skating at Campus Martius. I'm finally getting a bit better at skating again....but just a little bit. Skating really is more painful now that we aren't 10 anymore.
Ice skating outside is always a blast and Detroit really looks beautiful at night all lit up!
Getting into Winter Blast is pretty cheap, too. You just need to donate either a canned food item or a book (or $1) for entrance, so why not go?!
Make sure you head downtown this weekend, and don't let the cold scare you away, there will be heat every 150 feet!
