Michigan Fashion Week

Detroit's passion for fashion is finally paying off! Detroit will finally host it's first fashion week. You have heard of NYFW (New York Fashion Week) and FNO (Fashions Night Out) but are you ready for MFW (Michigan Fashion Week)? September 14th and 15th, our city will be the host to a show featuring 10 local designers and 2 guest designers from New York and Ohio. 

Friday the 14th, a networking reception will be held at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, 1516 South Cranbrook Road Birmingham, from 6- 9 p.m. You must RSVP to this event before Sept 12th here. 

Saturday, September 15th, there will be a runway showcase at The Southfield Civic Center. The doors are at 6 p.m. and the show starts at 7:30. Tickets are available here. 

I hope this event lives up to its hype and is the beginning of a future love affair between Detroit and designers.
