We Like Our Coffee Hot, In More Ways Than One!

I am addicted to coffee and I cannot control the craving. I drink it morning, noon, and night. When I awake, it is the first thing I think about and the smell instantly puts me into a good mood. The funniest thing about my addiction is that I usually drink decaffeinated coffee; it is not about the jolt, it is truly about the taste. Good coffee is hard to come by though. I can’t always drive all the way to Bean and Leaf and I feel that Tim Hortons, McDonalds, and Starbucks coffee tastes burnt like it’s been sitting on the pot for too long. Plus, the crazy cost of coffee at places like Starbucks is a huge turnoff for me. Fortunately, The Hot Spot Coffee Company has found a new way to turn me on. They are a great coffee company located in Troy, Brighton, and Waterford that specializes in gourmet coffee from a small drive through hut. But, it is not the coffee that is heating the place up it is the good looking women who serve you the coffee half naked, wearing only a bra and underwear.

Let me step back for a second. There is a small coffee hut on 16 Mile and Dequindre that has been there for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I used to go through the drive through before I went to church with my parents. Last month, when I was in the area, I thought I would drive through and get myself a pumpkin spice latte to warm myself up. When the window of the hut opened my jaw nearly dropped to the floor. A gorgeous red head asked me what I would be having; she was wearing a pink bra and lace panties. I seriously could not stop staring at her and instead of ordering I simply said “You’re really pretty.” Oddly enough, that’s the only thing I was able to say to Courtney Love the one time I met her. Apparently I can't handle myself around gorgeous women. She said thank you, took my order, and gave me one of the best pumpkin coffees that I have ever had.

I went home and did a little research about The Hot Spot Coffee Company so I could share it with you. What I learned was that the shop was bought in 2007 from the original owners. The new owners thought that good looking girls serving coffee in lingerie was a great way to get customers to come in and to compete with the bigger chains like Starbucks. They were serving up something special that none of their competitors could. The store features daily specials like "Topless Tuesdays", "Bikini Thursdays" and "Fantasy Fridays". You can even check out their Facebook to see updates on who is working that day and what they are wearing as they work. Believe me, once you check out the pictures you will all of the sudden have a craving for coffee.

The shop is open from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday and drinks range from $2-$10. They also feature tons of merchandise like a calendar of the “Girls of The Hot Spot” and iPhone cases with the girls' pictures on them. I have gone through the drive through many, many times since the first visit to The Hot Spot and I have not seen a bad looking lady yet. I highly recommend you go take a peek and get your coffee fix for the day.
