Last week I made the trip back out to Grand Rapids to see Hatebreed, Terror and Every Time I Die. We ate Peppino's pizza this time and didn't stay the night, but drove back after the show. Grand Rapids is close enough that you can do it either way, you just need to have a sober driver if you want to drink and then return home again that same night. We made sure we had a sober driver and had a few drinks and a good time.
The Intersection has been open for 40 years and and have been ranked in the top 50 venues to go to for the last few years. They recently installed more screens and lights to up their game and make it a great place for music photographers to get a well lit shot of a band. They are a venue that is changing and improving with the times to make sure that they stay at the top for another 40 years.
In the next few months they have some excellent shows coming through town. You can get a full list of events and find out how to buy tickets on their website.
Joe Gall a.k.a. Camera Jesus toughed it out to get a great video of the crowd during Hatebreed and I wanted to share it with our readers to give you an idea of how fun it was to mosh and party at the show.
I am looking forward to going back out to Grand Rapids and seeing what other adventures that town has to offer, but I wanted to make sure that you were checking the schedule and making the hike out there when the lineup is worth it because once you check out the place I guarantee that you will heading back out there too.
