The Revival Tour is Coming and You Can Go for FREE!!!

I grew up listening to Chuck Ragan and idolizing his unique voice. Hot Water Music was in heavy rotation in my life circa 2001 and when the band announced their dissolution in 2006, I was disappointed. I wondered if I would ever get a chance to hear Ragan's beautiful voice live and in person. At the time I was unaware of a collaborate event Ragan had created a year earlier called "The Revival Tour". He set out to establish an annual event based on the collaboration of punk, alt-country and blue grass artists. He played solo and invited other artists to do the same. Over the years the tour has featured Tim Barry from Avail, Ben Nichols of Lucero, Tom Gabel from Against Me!, Brian Fallon of The Gaslight Anthem and Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio. Basically, Ragan invites some of his talented and famous friends to go across the country and play as a stripped down version of themselves.

This year he has asked Tim McIlrath of Rise Against, Rocky Votolato, Dave Hause of The Loved Ones, Jenny Owen Youngs and more to join him as he ventures across the country to bring independent folk American music to your doorstep.

We cannot wait for this Friday when The Revival Tour comes to the Magic Stick! Not only will it be a treat to hear Ragan perform live, but we have a huge crush on Jenny Owen Youngs and love seeing her face and hearing her beautiful voice. We know you want to go and as always we want to give you a chance to go for free. The girls over at Black Iris Booking have given us one set of tickets to give away. We posted the flyer on our Facebook wall and all you have to do to enter is tag yourself in it. This Friday morning we will put all the names in a hat and one lucky winner will have their name on the list with a plus one of their choice.
 
Doors at the Magic Stick will open at 8 p.m. on Friday and tickets are $18 in advance or $20 dollars the night of the show. You can pick up your tickets ahead of time through Ticketweb here. Good luck to everyone that enters! This will be a great night not to be missed!
