Friday, July 12 our friends in Dryvel are throwing a huge party to celebrate the release of their latest album, Eleven Ounces. We have had the record for about a month and have nothing but good things to say about it. One of my favorite aspects of the album is all of the AFI style chanting, whoa oh oh! I have to admit that I was surprised the first time I listened to it. I have always enjoyed seeing these boys live because their energy really sells the sounds, but their tunes hold up when recorded, too. The songs are well written, the sound is great, and the beats make it really fun to run to at the gym. You can stream the whole album live here this week in honor of the show on Friday.
Dryvel has invited The Bronze Way, Landstalker and Recreational Suicide to help them entertain you for the night. This show is an all ages event and they are running a deal if you pre-order your tickets on dryvel.bigcartel.com. For $8 you can purchase the album, but for $15 you can get a copy of the album and entry into the record release party at the Crofoot. Tickets are $10 at the door with no album, so it's smarter to buy the bundle in advance. Tickets are also available on ticketweb.com and fee-free at UHF in Royal Oak. The party starts at 7 p.m. The Crofoot is located at 1 South Saginaw, Pontiac.
