This is one of the few times in my life that I am actually a little jealous of all of you parents out there. Don't get me wrong though, I still wouldn't want your job. But, there are some events that are geared towards kids that just sound too fun. One of those said events is Zoo Boo at the Detroit Zoo.
Zoo Boo is basically when Halloween takes over the Zoo. There's trick-or-treating, pumpkin displays, monsters, witches, graveyards, and a whole slew of other fun things going on at the Zoo. Since it is for kids though, none of it will be too scary. I'm a huge chicken so that sounds perfect for me. The festivities have been going on during weekends throughout the month of October, with this weekend being the last chance to get in on the fun.
Tickets for Zoo Boo are $8 for everyone 2 and up. If you have a membership to the Detroit Zoo you still have to pay to get in, but parking is free for you. Tickets can be purchased online here and are separated by time slots, which seems like a great idea since some of these events can get pretty crowded! Some tickets will be available at the gates as well in case you aren't sure when you'll be able to make it. Zoo Boo runs this Friday from 6-8 p.m. as well as Saturday and Sunday from 5-8 p.m. So throw a cute costume on your kids and head out to the Zoo for some Halloween fun. Well you're at it, invite one of your childless friends too!
