Unfortunately shortly after the announcement of this event, Clutch Cargo's announced that this would be the last event that they would ever have as a venue. They will be permanently closing the doors of this facility and turning it back into a church. I imagined a person sitting in the pews of the church once it is converted and had to laugh at the thought, if only those walls could talk! From Goldfinger, to No Doubt, to The Suicide Machines' Christmas shows drinking a full bar on stage, that venue holds some debaucherous memories of my yester years. It's going to take a lot of paint to cleanse that space of all the sinful things that have been seen there over the years.
Christie and I immediately said that we had to make it out to the show so that we could hear one last band echo through those walls before it all came to a close. I imagine that a lot of you will feel the same way, so we wanted to make you aware of this. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are available for purchase here. Clutch Cargo's is located at 65 East Huron in Pontiac for one more week!
