The Company We Keep is finally ready to release their first album. If you're like me, you have been following them online and watching them as they wrote and recorded the album in Minnesota with Ed Ackerson and you're ready to hear the finished product. The band released a single called "Miles Away" and so far it's everything I hoped it would be. I have to admit I'm still surprised that this is the direction that B South took after being in heavier projects like Boys Night Out and Fordirelifesake, but despite loving those other bands I can admit this is his best work yet.
These 11 songs were all written and recorded on Easy Killer Records and the album was released this past week, on October 29th. You can purchase a copy at shopsilentempire.com or you can buy an album in person at one of their two album relase shows taking place on November 14th at The Stache in Grand Rapids and November 16th at Small's in Hamtramck. I promise you will love seeing singer Haden Brightwell in person even if you don't like the music. Put it this way, she's very easy on the eyes. All joking aside, TCWK packed The Loving Touch a few months ago and put on a great live show, so we don't expect anything less this time around.
Thanks to The Company We Keep, we have the opportunity to get 5 people into each of these shows for free! Each of these winners will have their name on the guest list and can pick up a free copy of the new album Sound/No Sound at the show. To enter you must tweet us or Instagram us with the hashtags #iwanttoseethecompanywekeep #soundnosound. We will announce our 5 lucky winners via our Facebook the day before each show. If you help us get the word out about these album release shows, we will help you enjoy some great live music for free with a album to listen to for years to come. As always, see you at the show and congrats to TCWK for the release of their first full length album together!
