Fun Times in Ferndale at Secret Friends Fest

This past weekend Secret Friends Fest took over The Loving Touch in Ferndale. This is a brand new festival and we hope it becomes an annual event. It was a blast and, as you all know, winters in Michigan can be quite gloomy and it's easy to become a shut-in. So it's awesome to have something new to look forward to in the winter.

Put on by Jason Stollsteimer, Secret Friends Fest brought together 18 acts,  most of which were from the Detroit area with a few out of towners on the bill as well. Both Friday and Saturday night included quite a few bands that we love, such as Silent Lions, Haunted House, George Morris & The Gypsy Chorus, Alexis, The ILL Itches, Tunde, Autumn Wolf and The HandGrenades. (The last 4 on that list are playing our 2nd Anniversary Bash too!) There were also some bands that we haven't followed much yet, but now we're definitely going to have to; topping that list is After Dark Amusement Park.

Check out a few pictures we got from this weekend below. Awesome job to everyone involved with this event. The place was packed both nights and this lineup brought some different faces out to Ferndale. Always great to meet some new people and expose bands to some new fans as well!
