Take Back the Night is a movement to raise awareness against sexual violence of all forms. The community gathers together to share their stories and make their presence known. We will not be intimidated or scared, this is our world and we will walk around it proudly. The night will start with sign making and a speaker. Then the group will March through Ferndale returning to Affirmations for a candlelight vigil and an opportunity for marchers to stand up and speak out about their experiences.
Take Back the Night has events all over the world, so if you cant make it to this one check their website to find out when the next one is. This is a very powerful night of community and sharing and I highly suggest if you have never been part of one of these marches before you give yourself the opportunity to experience it.
