New Fortune Records is doing a showcase of artists that they work with this
Sunday, May 25th at the
New Dodge in Hamtramck. The lineup includes performances by
The Ruiners,
Ricky Rat Pack,
Dutch Pink,
After Dark Amusement Park,
Detroit CYDI,
Ryan Dillaha & The Miracle Men,
The Webbs,
The High Strung,
Jeremy Porter & The Tucos, Mur, and the one and only
James Linck. New Fortune Records will be giving out some free swag to patrons and they are selling some special edition vinyl releases, including a special 7" split featuring Detroit CYDI and
Cold Men Young, plus an exclusive vinyl release of The High Strung's 2007 album Get The Guests. As you can see, this label covers a wide variety of artists and showcases all sorts of sounds currently coming out of Detroit.
The festival is $8 for 21 and over and $10 for 18-21. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the music will go through 2 a.m. The New Dodge will be featuring $2 drafts, 50
¢ hot dogs, and specials from
Cabresto Tequila will be offered throughout the day. Mr. James Linck plays at 7:30 p.m. and we suggest that you at least make it there for his set. He never disappoints. The New Dodge is located at 8850 Joseph Campau in Hamtramck. To keep up with details about this show, add the event on Facebook
