Summer and hip-hop go together like peanut butter and jelly. I love to roll the windows down, turn up the bass, and listen to the soulful sounds of someone with a solid lyrical flow. I was recently sent an album called
The Wishing Tree by
Benjamin Miles and I have been playing it on repeat every time I'm cruising in my car. It's a solid album from start to finish with a few guest appearances, including
Bryan Lackner,
Brent “Blak” Smith,
Chris RedPill Orrick,
MOLA1,
Jp From The Hp,
Britney Stoney,
Charlie Beans and Tony Baggs
. My favorite track off the album is "Wolves & Sheep" featuring Britney Stoney, it's different than the other tracks on the album and stuck out to me.
Benjamin will be celebrating the official release of the new album this
Friday at
The Loving Touch.
Lawrence Kopelli Young and the #CoOwnaz will be opening the show and it is FREE to get in. 21+ are welcome and The Loving Touch is located at 22634 Woodward Ave. in Ferndale.
You can pick up a copy of the new album
The Wishing Tree here. Take a listen, get addicted, and head out to the show this Friday to hear it performed live.
