About a year ago we had the pleasure of meeting a guy named Sam McClain. Not only is Sam one of the nicest guys you will ever meet, but he is also the host of a podcast called Just Talkin' with Sam. Every week Sam busts his butt, along with his wife Natasha, to bring listeners a fun, and usually hilarious, new episode. Their guests range from his childhood friends to big name celebrities like Joan Rivers, and they do just what the title says; talk with Sam. He also has hosted a wide variety of musicians and Detroit personalities on his show. He has the great ability to get people from all walks of life to open up and tell their story while just engaging in entertaining conversation. If you've never heard Just Talkin' with Sam before, you're in for a treat. We highly suggest you head over to SamShowNation.com and check out one of the over 200 episodes here.
Not only did Sam reach a milestone with his 200th episode back in March, but this month also marks a milestone birthday for the man behind the mic. He just turned the big 3-0. So the show decided this would be the perfect time to throw a bash and bash Sam at the same time. On Friday, July 18th The Detroit Pub will hold host to The Roast of Sam McClain. His friends, his family, his enemies, and his past guests will all be getting up on stage and letting Sam know exactly what they think of him.
Before this huge event we met up with Sam at Rock City Eatery to talk about the Roast and fill our followers in on what him and his show are all about. See what he had to say below.
Admission to The Roast of Sam McClain is only $5 and 18+ are welcome. In addition to hearing jabs at Sam all night, you will also hear music from After The Tide, Nametag and Nathan Drizz Johnson. The Detroit Pub is located at 33401 Harper in Clinton Township. For more details on this event, click here or head over to SamShowNation.com.
