The Redford Theatre is known for showing classic films and getting the stars to come out and appear in person to meet and greet the fans before the show. I am a sucker for musicals and have always loved West Side Story, which they are showing this weekend, September 26th, 27th, and 28th.
West Side Story is a film about two youngsters from rival New York City gangs that fall in love, but the story ends in tragedy. It's a great film and if you have never seen it, I suggest that you give it a watch. If you're a fan like I am, you will be excited to hear that Rita Moreno a.k.a. Anita is going to be attending each of the showings and meeting and greeting her fans before the show. Rita will have a red carpet reception one hour and fifteen minutes before each showing of the film. They will also have live organ music 30 minutes before the show starts.
The show times are as follows:
Friday September 26th at 8 p.m.
Saturday September 27th at 8 p.m.
Sunday September 28th at 1 p.m.
Tickets for the show are only $7 and can be purchased in advanced here. Supervised parking is FREE. The Redford is located at 17360 Lahser Road, Detroit, MI 48219.
