It's Time to Apply for Detroit by Detroit Five!!!

We have told you before about a great event called Detroit by Detroit. It is no secret that we are huge fans of this night of Detroit music, we have even had the pleasure of hosting the event in the past. Well, the time has come to get things rolling for the DET X DET V!

It's hard to believe that it has been five years since Oh Snap! PR's own Melissa Rowe started this event. Well, she is at it again and we're sure this year's DET X DET will be bigger than ever. The show is set to take place on Saturday, February 28th at the Magic Stick. Just to give you a little background on the event, in case you don't already know what it's all about, Detroit by Detroit is just what it sounds. It is a night of Detroit music played by Detroit bands, however there is a bit of a twist. Some of your favorite Detroit acts will be playing 3 songs from their favorite Detroit act. The covers are from musicians new and old, such as Bob Seger, The White Stripes, The Amino Acids, The Supremes, Detroit Cobras, Eminem, and a ton more. Both stages in The Stick are used, so the music never stops.

So if this event isn't 'til February, why are we talking about it now? Because now is the time to get your name on the list if you are interested in playing! If you think you have a great idea for this year's Detroit by Detroit, just fill out the application here. The absolute last day to apply is December 1st (just over a month away)! The lineup will fill up quickly though, so don't wait around! Get your application in right away! We're looking forward to seeing what you come up with this time around, Detroit!
