By now you probably know that Royal Oak's Main Art Theatre has extended their Midnight Movies. What was once a weekend event in the summer, now happens every weekend throughout the year. The Main Art Theatre typically plays fan favorites and cult films from the '80s and '90s for their Midnight Movies, but this weekend they are going all the way back to the '50s for a true classic.
This Friday and Saturday nights, January 30th and 31st, you can see Singin In The Rain on the big screen. Released in 1952, this film stars Gene Kelly, Donald O'Connor, Debbie Reynolds. It features a ton of songs you have heard throughout the years, with the most popular obviously being "Singin' In The Rain". Check out the trailer for this classic musical below.

This is a super fun way to spend one of these cold winter nights indoors, while still getting off your couch. To see a list of other upcoming movies that will be shown at midnight, click here. There are some more really good ones coming up, like Pulp Fiction and Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo!
The Main Art Theatre is located at 118 North Main St. in Downtown Royal Oak.
