Detroit has traditionally been known for its cars, but times are changing and we're also putting our name on the map as a great place to live, party, and eat. Detroit has been embracing foodies and foodies are loving Detroit. New restaurants like Zeke's Rock and Roll BBQ and new companies like McClary Bros. drinking vinegars are being embraced with open arms. We have proved that we love to eat, especially if it's something that is made right here in Detroit.
Leon and Lulu has picked up on this love for food and they have began hosting events that revolve around trying and eating Michigan made goods. They have invited an array of local Michigan business to set up shop inside their space this Sunday, February 8th. These companies will be sharing and selling some of their Michigan made treats inside L&L for one day only. This event will include food from Cooper Street Cookies, Debra Foods, Gus and Grey, Imerman Cake Company, Joseph Wesley Black Tea, Maria's House Made Salsa & BBQ Sauce, Motown Soup, Royal Oak Roasters, Spanitz Brothers Sausage, The Brinery, The Twisted Pretzel LLC, and Z's Dipping & Sauces. There will be samples to try and to buy.
Leon and Lulu is already a really cool store, this is just another reason to check it out if you haven't already done so. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Leon and Lulu is located at 96 West 14 Mile in Clawson, MI. This event is FREE and open to the public! Bon Appetite!
