Going out to see a live performance is one of my favorite ways to spend an evening, but all of us get burned out at some point. After a long weekend it can be hard to go out to see a show on a Monday, even if you really love the band. This is one of those problems that shouldn't have a solution, but thanks to today's technology there is a way to have both. You can attend a live show from the comfort of your own couch.
Detroit's own Zander Michigan is the first local artist to embrace this technology. He will be broadcasting a live show tonight at 9 p.m. This is a great way to check out Zander before you head out and see him live and in person. If you like what you hear, mark your calenders for his CD release on March 29th at Corktown Tavern.
A new program called Concert Window is bringing live performances right to you by streaming artists' performances to your personal computer or laptop in real time. It is a new way for artists to connect with their fans while treating them to a very intimate one on one performance. I am looking forward to seeing how local artists use this program. I love the idea of never missing out, even if you decide that you need a night on the couch.
