Her Dark Host is one of those bands that must be seen and heard. They have an amazing sound and an even more amazing live show. They don't just get on stage and "play", they host a live ritual on stage and evoke the spirit of evil into the room. Their shows involve a lot of skulls, incense, and blood. When the perform you can smell it. We had the pleasure of hosting one of their rituals at our
three year anniversary show and we were not surprised by the overwhelmingly positive response. They make something evil feel refreshingly good.
HDH will be hosting their next ceremony this
Thursday, June 11th at the
New Dodge Lounge.
Skan is also going to be performing their own ritual alongside musical acts
Temple of Void (featuring members of
Hellmouth and
Acid Witch) and
Crumble. The darkness takes over the New Dodge at 9 p.m. on Thursday and it's only $5 at the door. We also have one pair of tickets to give away with a special prize pack that Her Dark Host gifted to
hipindetroit.com. This prize pack includes two tickets to the show, a Her Dark Host T-shirt and patch, a bloodstained relic from the stage after the performance, and an autographed full color HDH poster. It's like getting a gift bag of awesome from Satan!
