This weekend, July 3rd-5th, the Royal Oak Farmers Market will be hosting the Royal Oak Rib Fest. This three day FREE event will feature lots of really cool things like ribs,cocktails, beers, entertainment, and games! This is a family friendly event, but it also has an amazing Detroit musical lineup that you cannot miss out on.
There will be lots of food to taste, including yummy eats from Chicken Shack (emmm greasy heaven), Jackson Five Star Catering, Old Carolina BBQ, Stonewood Smokehouse, Smoke Ring BBQ, Pub Rub BBQ, Big Moe's BBQ, Detroit BBQ Company, and Taste & Tell BBQ.
Liquor drinks will be served by companies like Cabo Wabo Tequila, Wild Turkey American Honey, Wild Turkey, Fort Creek Whiskey, Bulldog Gin, and Tito's Vodka.
Brews will be served up from Blue Moon, Griffin Claw, Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy, Miller Lite, and Smith & Forge Hard Cider.
This year's entertainment is solid every day of the festival. The lineup is as follows:
Friday:
4:00pm Kung Fu Lovers
5:30pm Stereo Jane
7:00pm Howling Diablos
9:00pm The Infatuations
5:15pm The Beggars
7:00pm The Muggs
9:00pm Goober & The Peas
The festival runs from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. on Friday, Saturday from Noon until Midnight, and Sunday from Noon until 8 p.m. More information is available at RoyalOakRibFest.com.
