An Inside Look at the New Brewery Everyone's Talking About - Cellarmen's

Word on the street is that Hazel Park is the next "hip" city in the Metro Detroit area. One of the things helping that claim become a reality is Cellarmen's, an awesome new brewery opening up right on John R., in the heart of Hazel Park.

The brewery is the brainchild of four awesome dudes, Dominic Calzetta, Jason Petrocik, Ian Radogost-Givens and Andrew Zalewski. The guys are friends, have all worked together in the past, and have a long history of brewing both at home and in other local breweries. Cellarmen's is their chance to finally do things their way and have a bar of their own. And it truly is a bar of their own! These guys have been working their asses of day and night, putting blood, sweat, and every last dime into this bar. They are converting what used to be Bolyard Lumber into an awesome bar that will have great brews, local music and local art, while still having the vibe of an "old man's basement".

Cellarmen's will be brewing a wide variety of beers, ciders and mead. They actually just started brewing their first batch of mead last week. They're hoping to open their doors within a month with all sorts of tasty drinks on tap. Once they get things going, Cellarmen's will also start to host shows and show local art on their walls. They want this to be a comfortable place for you to come hang out at, but plan to keep changing things up on the taps and on the walls so you don't get too comfortable. They want you to keep coming back to see what's new. As far as shows go, the guys are hoping to bring in all different genres of music, from folk to metal.
