Covenfest Serves Up a Star Studded Lineup to Raise Money for a Great Cause

Halloween is all about cover shows and this Friday, October 30th Covenfest offers up a solid night of great cover bands, including Party Zeppelin (Led Zeppelin), Tres Hombres, Tankini Kill (Bikini Kill), Glamzing (Misfits Danzig),and  The School of Rock as Black Sabbath.

This Halloween party is special, it also has a purpose. Proceeds from the night with go to Enough Said aka enough sexual assault in Detroit, an organization that is seeking justice. In 2009 it was discovered that there were over 11,000 untested rape kits in Wayne County and to date the foundation has helped get over 10,000 of those back logged kits processed. There are still more to go and sadly more coming in every day. 

There is a $10 minimum donation to get into the show at Small's Bar in Hamtramck and the fun starts at 8 p.m. 16+ are welcome to attend. Costumes are encouraged.
