This weekend Hamtramck artists will once again open their homes and studios to the public. The 6th Annual Hamtramck Neighborhood Arts Festival kicks off this Friday, October 9th and runs through Saturday, October 10th. This event showcases all of the great artists that have made Hamtramck their home, while also displaying other artistic endeavors, such as music and performance art.
A few of the studios and galleries that will be open during the event include 9338 Campau Gallery with the exhibition "Fate of the Machinery" by Kate Levy, the studio of Clara DeGalan, Ben Thompson Gallery which will be opening their new exhibit "New Ideas, and "Storm Trees and Mr Woodman" by Nancy Mitchnick at Public Pool. There will also be music at the New Dodge from Trail Sad Raya and Johnny Salvage, DJ Sets at Detroit Threads, a Bier Garden next door to Lo & Behold, and Pumpkin Carving, Hot Cider and Music by The Adrays at Tiny Acres.
