For the eighth year in a row The Tangent Gallery will be hosting an array of celebrations in honor the the day of the dead. They are inviting patrons inside to eat, drink, dance, and enjoy the art of the damned. The gallery will feature 174 artists from across the world showing 183 different pieces of art. This will be a three day celebration and each night will be different from the others.
The fun will kick off this Thursday, October 29th with "The Darkness". The kick off night will feature a VIP artists reception, an Absinthe tasting, hors d’oeuvres, and experimental aerial and butoh-inspired performances. Tickets to attend Thursday night's show with the tasting are $40 in advance, $30 for VIP without tasting and $15 general admission.
Friday night, aka Devil's Night, is "The Enlightenment". This night will feature internationally-inspired tapas, a flavored mead tasting courtesy of B Nektar, and exotic fire, aerial and experimental performances. Tickets are $40 for VIP entrance with the tapas tasting, $30 for regular VIP and $15 for general admission.
On Saturday Night the gallery will host "The Masquerade“. The last night will feature a formal mask-mandatory masquerade ball, an elegant seated 6-course aphrodisiac-inspired dinner, a fashion show, DJs, and an array of strolling cirque performances. Tickets for the final night are $35 for VIP and $20 for general admission. You must be dressed up and wearing a mask to attend the ball.
