There are lots of pieces that have to come together to produce a great show, it takes a lot more than talented musician to make musical magic. To have successful events you need cool venues with good owners and good sound systems and lighting. You need good sound person to run the board, designers to create the posters and artwork to promote the show, promoters to get the word out, bartenders to serve up the drinks, and photographers to capture the memories and preserve them. Believe us, this is just the tip of the iceberg, when it comes to the Detroit music scene it takes a village. Luckily, we have some of the most talented bands, promoters, booking companies, designers, and photographers in the business. This Friday’s art show at The Ann Arbor Art Center will spotlight some of the most talented people in the business
Life in Michigan has brought together 20 local artists, including Doug Coombe, Mark Armanski, and Jeremy Wheeler for the show. The opening will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Friday and the show will run through January 30th. There will be music and a lot of the artists in the show will be there for you to talk to and meet. This is a cool opportunity to see the art that is inspired by the music that we all love. It’s also a chance to celebrate some of the key people that make our Detroit music scene so special
