In case you haven't heard, Michigan legends Bear vs Shark announced that they will be playing a show in Detroit this week! The announcement was made this Tuesday for a show that will take place on Friday, June 24th at Third Man Records. Before you get too excited though, this show is already sold out!
The band's reunion was first mentioned back in the fall. By spring, they announced tour dates from Brooklyn to LA, with most of those dates selling out very quickly. The band's first show back was set for this Saturday, June 25th at the Flint Local 432 as a fundraiser for the Flint Child Health & Development Fund. It's sold out. Prior to the announcement of the Third Man show, the first Detroit area date was set for September 10th at The Loving Touch. It's also sold out. So, now that we told you about 3 Bear vs Shark shows in the area that you can't go to (unless of course you've already scored tickets), we'll tell you about one show you still have a chance to see!
Bear vs Shark has a second Loving Touch show set for Friday, September 9th, the night before the original show at The LT. Tickets are currently still available for that show and can be purchased here. Don't wait though! If you've learned anything from this post, it is that this show will sell out!
If you get a chance to see Bear vs Shark at this show or any of the reunion dates, the lineup will be very familiar, with past members Marc Paffi, John Gaviglio, Derek Kiesgen, Brandon Moss and Ashley Horak (taking turns on the drums). Mike Muldoon is the only member that won't be doing the reunion shows. However, if you're a fan of Marc's latest project Bars of Gold, you will recognize Nick Jones, who will be playing bass.
So it's time to get hyped for this awesome reunion! Crank your speakers up, hit play and dance like no one's watching! Great reunions don't happen often! Don't miss out on this one!
