This Saturday, some of the best restaurants in Detroit and the surrounding area will battle it out to see who makes the best burger. About 20 restaurants will gather at Fairway Packing to participate in the Detroit Burger Brawl. The list of restaurants participating includes TOWNHOUSE Detroit, Firebird Tavern, Brome Burgers & Shakes, Red Crown, Rock City Eatery, Ale Mary's Beer Hall Royal Oak, Firehouse Pub and Grill, FireKeepers Casino, Rusted Crow Detroit, The Clawson Steakhouse, Fresh Planet and Big Boy. Attendees of the event will stroll around and sample the burgers and then cast their vote on whose burger is the best. The top 4 vote getters will then serve their burger up to a panel of celebrity judges who will then choose the winner. Chef Kate Williams from Chow Down Detroit, Serena Daniels from Detroit Metro Times, Sue Sulasky from Detroit Free Press & Bryan Barnhill from the Mayor's Office will be judging the burgers and the event will be hosted by Ken Daniels, the voice of Detroit Red Wing hockey.
