For 39 years Dally in the Alley has been closing down the streets of the Cass Corridor and bringing the community out for a day of fun. The one day fest features a variety of live musical acts and a collection of some of the area's best food, drinks, and shopping. This Saturday, September 10th they will once again be closing down the streets of the corridor to dally in the alley.
This year's musical lineup features an eclectic mix of some of Detroit's best musical acts, including Go Tiger Go, The Idiot Kids, Cheerleader, Odd Hours, Dear Darkness, and The Erers. There are five stages with music that starts at 11:15 a.m. and goes well into the night.
There is also a great lineup of local food being respresented at the fest. This includes Amicci's Pizza, Union Street Detroit, Delectabowl Food Truck & Catering, Majestic Cafe, Full Course Catering, Detroit Shrimp and Fish, Sweet Susan Tarts, Sno Biz Detroit, Mario's and Russell Street Deli. The festival will also feature drinking stations where patrons can enjoy beer from Motor City Brewing Works or a glass of wine.
The fest also features a kid's fair from Noon to 4 p.m. at the corner of Forest and 2nd. The fair will feature free face painting, games, arts & crafts, balloons, and a coloring station. There will also be valet bike parking at the corner of Prentis/2nd. The festival is FREE to all and all are welcome to attend.
