It's Time for the 11th Annual Detroit Urban Craft Fair

Detroit oldest indie craft fair will be returning to the city for the 11th year in a row. The Detroit Urban Craft Fair will take over The Detroit Masonic Temple for three days to help you knock out some serious holiday shopping. This craft fair is hard to get into and thousands of vendors apply to be one of the hundred people who gets to showcase their DIY wares to the over 10,000 people that will come through the fair's doors. It is my favorite place to to try to knock out all of my holiday shopping every year. There is always something new and unique and it's easy to find something special for everyone on my list.

This year's fair kicks off Friday December 2nd at 6 p.m. Opening night is $10 a person and a portion of the proceeds are donated to Living Arts, a nonprofit that offers art education to youth in Southwest Detroit. Admission on Saturday and Sunday is only a $1 a person for people 12 and up. Delectabowl will be serving up food throughout the weekend and DJ Dave Lawson will be spinning some jamz for you to enjoy while you shop. The fair is open from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. - 6 p.m. on Sunday. The first 50 shoppers on Saturday will receive a free tote bag with goodies. So if your going on Saturday try to make it out there early!
