24 Hour Giveaway: Win Tickets to See Thursday at St. Andrew's Hall

When I heard Thursday was reuniting and doing a string of reunion shows, I got pretty exited. But, when I sat down to write this ticket giveaway and played songs from my two favorite albums, Waiting and Full Collapse, I went nuts. Somehow I forgot how much this band meant to me circa 2001 and I started having flashbacks of driving around blasting their albums and having all the feelings.

Thursday was by far my favorite emo band. They are heavily influenced by Joy Division and a lot of their best tracks center around a love lost. I remember crying my eyes out after more than one breakup to their music. I cannot wait to get into a room full of people that appreciate this band as much as I do. I hope that all of you plan on screaming your little hearts out and getting emo with me.

Tickets to attend this one are $22 to $33 in advance and they can be purchased here.  You can also win a pair of tickets to attend the show and scream along with me by sending your full name to hipindetroit@gmail.com with the subject line #thursday. Doors for this one open at 6 p.m. this Tuesday, April 25th. St. Andrews is located at 431 East Congress in Detroit.
