Berserker IV Feature - Child Bite

Over the next week leading up to Berserker IV we will be featuring interviews with some of the bands playing this year's fest. We asked all of the bands the same batch of questions and got some pretty awesome and hilarious responses. We're kicking things off with the band that Berserker founder Shawn Knight is the front man for.

Child Bite is one of the craziest and most kick ass metal bands to hail from Detroit. We've been fans of these guys for quite a while now, in fact they're one of the first bands that we did a video interview with years ago. Since then, this band has blown up! Lately they've been on the road with Superjoint and this summer they are headed over to Europe on tour. Their live shows are wildly entertaining and if there was ever a metal band that was going to make you move and dance around, this is it.

HID- What two words best describe your band?

Jeff Kraus of Child Bite- "wet, deranged"

HID- Why should people check out your set at Berserker?

Jeff- "Because we are tired and our bodies hurt and we are the cockroaches that survive the apocalypse, so you are stuck with us. Also you might get spit on if you are lucky."

HID- What’s the best part about playing a fest like this?

Jeff- "Getting to watch OFF! and Negative Approach for free."

HID- Are you looking forward to checking out any of the other bands on the fest?

Jeff- "Duh, I mean I could sit in The Crofoot basement all night….."

HID- For those Berserker goers that might not have heard your band before, name one of your songs that they should definitely check out.

Jeff- "Born A Hog, it’s like eating bacon while on a bad acid trip."

HID- The lineup for this year’s Berserker is pretty epic. If you could have any four bands headline a fest, who would you pick?

Jeff- "I can barely stay awake long enough to watch one headliner, let alone 4!"

HID- When you’re out on tour, what are three things that you must have with you?

Jeff- "Fiber pills, gig shirt, selfie stick"

HID- What else should people know before they check out your band at Berserker?

Jeff- "Wes Borland played guitar on our new songs."
