Friday night the
Detroit Music Awards will take over
The Fillmore to honor Detroit's amazing music scene. Now in its 26th year, the Detroit Music Awards and its foundation recognize and award musicians from all genres, from Gospel to Rock. They take submissions from the public, allowing a chance for pretty much everyone involved in music in the Detroit area. After rounds of voting, this Friday night it is time to announce the winners and celebrate the great music scene in this city.
Tickets to Friday night's party start at $32.50 and can be purchased in advance
here or at The Fillmore box office. Doors are set to open at 6 p.m. and in addition to the awards, there will be performances throughout the evening. Some of this year's performers include
