Detroit Fleat Connects You To All of Your Favorite Food Trucks 6 Days A Week

Photos borrowed from Detroit Fleat's Facebook Page
Detroit Fleat is the first food truck inspired restaurant to come to Ferndale, Michigan. The idea behind the space is to have a solid core menu that is accentuated by the food trucks that literally pull up and park themselves until their food sells out for the day. They have indoor and outdoor seating and a large selection of food that is sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.

Detroit Fleat's core menu features a curated collection of tacos, sliders, and fries alongside a mixture of various sides, appetizers, and desserts. They have a full bar that can mix up a variety of specialty drinks, a beer and wine list, and the ability to pretty much make you whatever drink your heart desires. The in house menu is complimented by four permanent food trucks, Delectabowl, The Pita Post, The Mac Shack and Drifter Coffee. These trucks pull up and park at Detroit Fleat daily until they sell out for the day. But that's not all Detroit Fleat has to offer. they also have a list of visiting rucks that stop by on a rotating menu. You can view a full list of trucks that will be making a stop at Detroit Fleat here. Some of the upcoming visiting trucks include El Guapo, Nu Deli, and Matt and Mo's.
Detroit Fleat is closed on Mondays. They serve their house food from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday. They have a daily happy hour from 3 p.m. till 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and the food trucks pull up around 4 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday and leave when they sell out of food. We had a chance to visit a few weeks ago and were more than pleased with our experience. The drinks were strong, the service was good, the food was good and reasonably priced and the bathrooms were pleasantly clean and well kept, which was a very pleasant surprise. It was nice to sit outside and sample a variety of different treats from around town without having to track each truck down. We highly recommend checking out Detroit Fleat when you're in Ferndale. But,  remember it's not in downtown, it's a few blocks east of Woodward! So stop there on your way in to or out of the city. It's easy to park and easy to get in and out without a lot of hassle! I even stopped by and grabbed something to go on my way home last week!
