The Hip Shop - The New Way to Shop Local Online

Here at Hip in Detroit we're all about keeping it local. We love to support local artists, musicians and business owners, and we're pretty sure most of our readers do too! Well, when we decided to revamp hipindetroit.com, we wanted to add a place that makes supporting and shopping local a little bit easier. Sure, you can shop small, go to local shows, and do your best to support small businesses when you're out and about. But sometimes it's not so easy to branch out that local support. You have your few favorites, but there are so many small businesses and Detroit area bands and musicians out there, that it's hard to keep track of them all. That's where The Hip Shop comes in!

The Hip Shop is a place where you can discover local bands and businesses right from the comfort of your couch or while you're playing around on your phone. Whether you're shopping for a gift, looking to check out some new music, or just trying to discover some local businesses, this is the place for you! We are working on partnering with as many artists, musicians, and shops as we can so it's sort of a Detroit based online mall. It's a place you can go when you feel like shopping and want to support people in your own community at the same time. The best part about it is that shopping through The Hip Shop won't cost you anything extra either. So, we're hoping it's an idea that you will all get behind and that we can all continue to help each other out!
