At the beginning of the year we met up with The Dropout to talk about his new solo project. At the time, he was gearing up for his first performance at El Club, you can take a walk down memory lane and watch that interview here. Since then, Andrew, aka The Dropout, has been tearing up stages across Detroit. He played huge sets at Electric Forest and Buttcon. His sets are pretty crazy and are as visually pleasing as they are to dance to. He is one of that artists that puts in the effort and goes out of his way to take you on a melodic experience when you come out to see one of his live shows.
He will be taking the stage alongside SKYrise, High School Sweetheart, and House Coffee this Friday, August 4th. He was so happy with the success of his first show at El Club that he wanted to return to turn the dance floor into an even bigger dance party than last time. Tickets to attend the show are $10 and they can be purchased here.
We also have one pair of tickets to give away to the show courtesy of Party Store Productions. If you would like to enter to win them, please email your full name to hipindetroit@gmail.com with the subject line #party. We will draw one lucky winner this Friday morning and they will get to attend the show for free. The Dropout is going to pull out all the stops for this show, including taking care of your rolling paper needs while you're out. Take the money you saved on the tickets and make sure to pick up some limited edition rolling papers at the show!
