Dally in the Alley has been a staple of the Detroit community since in 1977. Sure, it didn't officially take its name until 1982, but the concept has stayed the same since the beginning. The first Saturday after Labor Day, the local community of the corridor gathers to enjoy the art, music, and food of the city. The festival features an eclectic mix of Detroit's musical acts every September.
This year's Dally will feature performances by tons of artists, including Honeybabe, Mango Lane, Ancient Language (full band), Mega Powers, Junglefowl, Mother Cyborg, Tart, and Adje. For a full lineup and set times for the day click here. This year's food choices include Stache International and Delectabowl, for a full list of food choices click here.
Dally in the Alley takes place from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. this Saturday, September 9th. As always, the Dally is free for all! It is generally easy to park around the area without paying, but you may have to walk a few blocks to do so. So forgo the cute heels, wear some chucks, and be ready to walk around to a few stages to enjoy music. While you're walking from stage to stage, stop and check out some of the cool vendors and grab a snack or a drink to celebrate 40 years of Dally in the Alley fun inside the city's historic Cass Corridor!
