Now that you've stuffed your gut and said thanks to all of your family and friends, hopefully you have sometime to kick back and relax this weekend. And if you're extra lucky, you might even have a long weekend off from work and real life. Well if you're looking to have some low key fun this weekend, make your way to the Redford Theatre in Detroit.
This Saturday afternoon you can enjoy some classic cartoons on the big screen in this classic theatre. The Redford is hosting their annual Classic Cartoon Festival this Saturday, November 25th. At 2 p.m. and again at 8 p.m. they will be showing some of your favorite classic cartoons as well as some cartoons that are a little more rare. The list of what the theatre will be shown is always kept secret, but in years past, selections have included Popeye, Tom & Jerry, Looney Tunes, Tex Avery, and more. Whatever the choices might be this year, we're sure this will be a super fun event where you can sit back, have some snacks, and just enjoy some great entertainment on the big screen without having to think too much. It is a Saturday after all. And we can't think of a better day of the week to spend watching cartoons!
Tickets to the Classic Cartoon Festival are only $5 and can be purchased in advance here. For more information on this event, click here.
