Clowns Invade Campus Martius This Weekend

If you're not a fan of clowns, then you probably want to stay away from Campus Martius this weekend! You're sure to bump into at least one or two, because Clown Skate 2018 is happening this Saturday, January 20th. On the other hand, if you love clowns, this is the place to be!

This annual event bring out a whole bunch of these colorful people together, as they skate, juggle, make balloon animals and "clown around". You can see photos from past year's here. The event is now in it's 8th year and seems to be growing every year. You can expect to see dozens of clowns in the area, past years there have reports of 60-80 clowns on the ice.

Clowns are expected to be in the area from 7 'til 11 p.m. If you would like to skate along, admission to the rink is $8 for adults, $7 for children 12 & under,  and $7 for seniors. Skate rental is available on site for $4. For more info on this event, click here.
