Support Female Art at The Tangent this Saturday

This weekend the Tangent Gallery will be hosting Venus Rising, an all female art show that will feature women with a variety of talents including painting, sculpting, jewelry making, photography and more. There will be an assortment of live performers throughout the night including burlesque dancers and live painting.

Tickets to attend the show are $10 and the Tangent Gallery is located at 715 Milwaukee Ave.  in Detroit. The gallery will be open from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. and 25% of the proceeds from the night will go to Alternatives for Girls, a local non-profit that helps at risk youth. They will also be collecting feminine hygiene products for For the LOVE of HUMANITY at the event, this includes tampons, deodorant, pads, toothbrush, toothpaste, shaving creme and more. Anyone that brings a donation will receive a free raffle ticket, which means that they might walk away with a prize.
