Tonight the Red Bull House of Art will open its doors to premiere its latest gallery. This exhibition will feature three female Dominican-American artists Lucia Herro, Joiri Minaya and Gina Goico, who have all been living in Detroit since the begging of January. All three of these women were living in New York City before they made the journey to the Motor City and they have been living together in the Red Bull Loft while they created this work together. This gallery will center around "immigrant experiences, fantasies of the perfect tourist paradise juxtaposed with crime of the Dominican Republic".
Tonight's opening will begin at 7 p.m. and end at 10 p.m. It is free for anyone to attend and 21 and over are usually welcomed to enjoy a drink or two on the house while they enjoy the art. The RBHOA is located at 1551 Winder Street and the space is open on Saturdays if you miss the opening night!
