Over the past few years, Metro Detroit has seen a ton of great new restaurants hit the scene. One of the most talked about restaurants out of them all is Mabel Gray. Located in Hazel Park, Mabel Gray is the creation of Chef James Rigato. The Top Chef star opened this restaurant back in 2016 and it has been receiving rave reviews ever since.
This weekend, the Mabel Gray crew is stepping out of their home in Hazel Park and heading down to Hamtramck to take over one of our favorite bars, Small's. The takeover is happening this Sunday, May 20th at 6 p.m. The evening will feature bar food from the staff at Mabel Gray and craft cocktails served up by Paul Fradeneck. The Corey Dennison Band will also be on site performing live on stage throughout the evening, with sets at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Cover for this awesome event is only $5 and 21+ are welcome. Make sure you bring some extra cash with you too because food purchases will be cash only!
Small's is located at 10339 Conant in Hamtramck. For more info on this event, click here.
