Cancer is a bullshit disease that has taken the life of way too many people that we love. The disease doesn't care if you're young or old, rich or poor, or a legendary rock star. It is merciless and treats us all the same. But, sometimes we have the last laugh because cancer might be able to take away the people we love, but it cannot make us forget them. In 2010 cancer took the life of legendary rock star Ronnie James Dio, but it wasn't able to silence his voice. Ronnie's fans have come up with a fun way to come together to say fuck you to the disease by gathering to remember his life by rocking out to some of his music. This yearly gathering is a way to honor the rock star while raising money to continue to fight the disease that took him off the stage.
This year's tribute show will take place on Saturday, May 19th at The Loving Touch and will feature performances by Banned from Hell, Evil Play, Rainbow Rising, Rock and Roll Children, The Black Drops, The Whiskey Charmers, and Alienstorm.
