This Thursday night, El Club will welcome Efrim Manuel Menuck to their stage. The artist is best known for his past projects, such as Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Thee Silver Mt. Zion Memorial Orchestra. But, in 2011, he branched out on his own to release his debut solo album Plays "High Gospel". Seven years later, he finally has released a follow up to that album, with his latest release Pissing Stars. The album was "inspired by the brief romance of american television presenter Mary Hart and Mohammed Khashoggi, the son of a Saudi arms dealer. Their relationship stuck with Menuck, you can read more about this inspiration on his bandcamp here.
