Two Detroit powerhouses teamed up to highlight some of Detroit's best art and music at the Tangent Gallery tonight. Acronym and Akrenim have come together to bring back Found in the Underground, their annual party that focuses all of its attention on the artists that make Detroit the magical place that it is. They will have over 20 different people showing their work while music plays on two stages all around you. This includes music from Vladimir Vannilsson, Jake Webb & The Commitments, Drizzle, Novara, Medici, Novuh Kaine, Carter Erickson, and Jay OhSo. They will even have Detroit's own Marcie Bolen, formerly of The Von Bondies spinning a set!
Tickets to attend the show will be $7 to $9 at the door depending on how you are paying. They also have a strict no backpack rule, so don't even try to get into this one with a big bag on you. You can find out more about tonight's party here, but if you're looking for something fun to do, this is a great way to learn more about the art and music community. Come get your feet wet and see what the artists of the city have to offer.
