Do you like vintage clothing, housewares, vinyl, houseplants, and handcrafted items? If you like to hunt for the perfect piece you will love rummaging your way through Fleatroit Junk City at The Garden Bowl and Majestic Theatre this Sunday, January 16. This monthly market also features live music, an amazing bloody mary bar, pizza, and live DJs throughout the day.
Junk City opens at 1 p.m. on Sunday. The full bloody mary bar will be set up so you can sip while you shop this month's vendors. The key to seeing and scoring the best items is getting there early, so use the bloody mary bar as a motivation to get out of bed.
DJs will keep the day moving with music from 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. Once the market ends at the Majestic, the Toeheads and 208 will start performing above the lanes at The Garden Bowl. Reserve a bowling lane to throw some balls while you enjoy the show.
The Magic Stick/Majestic/Garden Bowl complex is located at 4140 Woodward in Downtown Detroit. The Garden Bowl is the oldest bowling alley in the United States and one of our favorite spots in the city. This is a great way to spend a Sunday.
