When you think of tulips in bloom, your mind might drift to the charming town of Holland, Michigan, known for its stunning tulip fields. But what if I told you that you can experience the beauty of tulips right here in metro Detroit? For the first time ever, DeBuck's Family Farm has brought the magic of Holland to us!
Located at 50240 Martz Road in Belleville, DeBuck's has transformed into a vibrant sea of tulips for its first-ever Tulip Festival, which runs through May 5th (perhaps longer depending on the weather). With tickets priced at $18 per person (children 23 months and under are free), visitors gain access to the tulip farm and a variety of family-friendly activities.
The highlight of the festival is the opportunity to wander through acres of colorful tulips. The fields provide a picturesque backdrop for stunning photos and videos, and the smells and colors are nothing short of spectacular.
DeBuck's also offers various activities to entertain the whole family. From a giant slide and a tire mountain to giant cornhole and a pirate ship, there's something for everyone to enjoy. And if all that activity works up an appetite, fear not – snacks are available for purchase to keep you fueled throughout the day.
One unique feature of the festival is the option to take a train out to the tulip field. This charming mode of transportation adds to the experience, allowing you to sit back, relax, and take in the sights as you make your way to the tulips. For those who prefer to explore on foot, walking out to the field and taking the train back is a great way to see all the different activities DeBuck's offers.
The only downside to the festival? The tulips are only in bloom for a very limited time. They plan to be open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 am to 6 pm this week. Perhaps a few days longer if the weather and the flowers permit.
So why drive to Holland when you can experience the beauty of tulips right here in metro Detroit? Head to DeBuck's Family Farm for their Tulip Festival and immerse yourself in a world of vibrant color and family-friendly fun.
Tickets are available online, and you must purchase them in advance. You have to select the day and the time and sign a waiver for each person visiting to receive a wristband upon arrival.
