Hip in Detroit's Picks for the Weekend - October 18-20

 


Friday, October 18 & Saturday, October 19th - Movies at The Redford Theatre: Spooky season is here and this weekend The Redford Theatre has a couple of movies playing that will definitely get you in the spirit! On Friday night, they will be showing A Clockwork Orange at 8 PM. Then on Saturday, the theatre is doing their annual tribute to Sir Ghastly Graves along with two showings of Creature from the Black Lagoon in 3D, at 2 PM and 8 PM! Tickets for all of these shows are only $7 each. Get yours here



Saturday, October 19th - Detroit Fall Beer Fest: Craft beer lovers unite this weekend for the Detroit Fall Beer Festival! The event will take place at Eastern Market from 1-6 PM and will feature beers from across the state. Tickets are $60, which gets you into the festival and 15 sample tokens. Designated Drivers are also welcome and can get a ticket at the gate for just $20, with no sample tokens. Saturday, October 19th - Antiquing while Drinking @ Cadieux Cafe: A little farther east at the Cadieux Cafe is another event with adult beverages, Antiquing while Drinking! Shop with 10 local vendors selling antique, retro, and vintage goods in the biergarten at Cadieux Cafe, and grab some food and a drink or two inside while you're there. Admission is free and the event goes from 11 AM - 5 PM. 


Sunday, October 20th - Super Duper Alice Cooper @ Ford Wyoming Drive-In: Apparently this weekend is all about drinking & movies! Sunday night, head to the Ford Wyoming Drive-In for a fun Halloween screening of Super Duper Alice Cooper, presented by Zoe Lectric. Admission is $25 per car and limited to 125 cars, so if you really want to go, get your tickets in advance here. Gates open at 6:30 PM and the movie starts at 7:30 PM. Costumes are encouraged.
